I’ve never had “regular” cycles, and right now, I’m in another long one. After a year of shorter cycles on metformin, they’ve stretched again to three months long. It’s frustrating. But this time, I’m not spiraling. I’m in a new era of acceptance.

I know now that stress deeply impacts my cycle, and that includes the hidden stress of trying to fix my body to meet some wellness perfection. That pressure to heal my cycle is its own kind of burnout. So instead, I’m focusing on supporting my nervous system, creating safety in my body, and unlearning the cult of wellness that says your cycle has to be 28 days to be trustworthy.

This podcast is what I wish I had when I started fertility awareness with long, unpredictable cycles. It’s not about getting your body to behave. It’s about understanding it, trusting it, even, especially, when it’s messy, and advocating for yourself with compassion and grace for yourself.
